Let’s protect our most vulnerable communities, together.
The Queensland Government, through Health and Wellbeing Queensland, is committed to funding healthy lifestyle programs for the benefit of Queenslanders. For more than 10 years they have successfully partnered with The Good Foundation to enable the delivery of the Jamie’s Ministry of Food program in Queensland. Health and Wellbeing Queensland contributes to the funding of the Ipswich Centre and the Queensland Mobile Kitchen, Outreach and our online offering. Their support is targeted toward delivering Jamie’s Ministry of Food to rural and regional areas, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as well as Queensland’s youth to increase fruit and vegetable consumption and prevent obesity and chronic disease in the state.
Boost your Healthy is a digital hub, established by Health and Wellbeing Queensland to help Queenslanders stay healthy and active during COVID-19 and beyond. As Founding Partner of Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia, The Good Guys was instrumental in bringing the program to Australia in 2010 and is proud of its continuing partnership with both The Good Foundation and Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia.
The Good Guys has supported the national expansion of Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia, helped promote the program through its network of 105 stores and championed petitions for government funding.
Thanks to Stockland, Jamie’s Ministry of Food was able to open its first centre in NSW in December 2014. In 2016, we were pleased to announce that the partnership with Stockland continued to grow with the announcement of a three-year partnership with Jamie’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen Queensland. This additional funding enabled the Mobile Kitchen to continue to deliver the program in regional locations across Queensland. Since then, Stockland has supported both Jamie’s Ministry of Food and Jamie Oliver’s Learn Your Fruit
and Veg at numerous locations.
For many years Woolworths was the Principal Partner of Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia. This wonderful partnership began in 2014 as Fresh Food Partner, with Woolworths providing produce and ingredients to our kitchens across Australia. The partnership continued to grow with Woolworths becoming the Principal Partner in 2015. During this time, Woolworths committed to providing Australians with the freshest produce and ingredients.
As of April 2019, The Good Foundation has partnered with The Gordon to continue to bring Jamie’s Ministry of Food to Geelong. Our new centre is based at The Gordon’s Geelong Technical Education Centre (GTEC) at their East Geelong Campus, with students given the opportunity to attend and be part of the program. In support of the program, the Victorian Government will provide $1.7 million from its Workforce Training Innovation Fund to help fund the program and enable participants from the Geelong region to engage with the program, as well as supporting access to educational opportunities that improve the well-being of the community.
