JAMIE OLIVER’S LEARN YOUR FRUIT AND VEG

Jamie Oliver’s Learn Your Fruit and Veg (LYFV) online and in-person programs (through schools and communities) aim to inspire all children to engage in food education.

They’re designed to teach children about food; what it is, where it comes from, and how it affects their bodies while equipping them with valuable skills for life.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMS

Over four consecutive days, the program provides a series of classes and program materials designed to bring the beauty of fresh, local, seasonal food to life. They inspire children to make better choices and encourage them to cook along. This hands-on approach engages children in a fun way.

Each day of the program will focus on a hero fruit or vegetable. Your child will learn to prepare a no-cook Jamie Oliver recipe featuring this hero ingredient.

Our online courses offer the perfect opportunity to spend some time together with your child in your kitchen – a wonderful parent/child activity.

Our in-person events are fun and interactive and conducted through schools, community groups and other programs. To learn more about how we can run these for you, please get in touch.

Whether online at home or in groups, children will have a great deal of fun getting hands-on and creating some of Jamie’s recipes.

Who can participate?

The program is designed for children aged 3 to 12 as it introduces basic cooking skills and techniques. Both programs require adult supervision as this will improve the child’s cooking experience.

If you’re doing the online program you will need to be present with your child for each lesson. It also provides you with an opportunity to learn together.

What do I need?

For our in-person group programs, your child will just need to turn up with some enthusiasm and a willingness to have fun.

For our online program, you’ll need a device such as a laptop (recommended), tablet/iPad, or smartphone in order to view each live online session.

It is easy to join in – all you need is a kitchen, basic cooking utensils, everyday ingredients (we will provide you with a full ingredient & recipe list), and parent or adult supervisor.

Additional details

Our online program runs 4 x 30-minute sessions, once every day over 4 days.

You can view all upcoming dates and book directly through the link above.
